Message: Hi Julie, Just to let you know that I have a Blanchard in my pedigree who originates from Ashley Forest, Dorset, which is about 8 miles from Holt, where Isaac Blanchard was born. I joined the Blanchard Family History Society and we organised a DNA test. I've just learned that the two Blanchard famillies are related. The investigation continues. There are three descendants of Isaac Blanchard still looking into this problem. Guess that we must be some kind of cousin - even if it is 100s of times removed!!! Best wishes, Ruth

Message: Hi Julie. I was looking up additional info. on the De Malebisse name and enjoyed your site. I have all that basic info. already. I am a descendant of this family through the Beckwith line, my paternal Great-Grandmother, is in the book "The Beckwiths" pg.194. Lena C Beckwith. She married my Gr. Grandfather, William C Mason. I was very surprised to find Norman roots on that side of the family. I already knew about Norman roots on my maternal side through my ancestors, the Despencers, from Lille, Normandy. So cool to find out after all these years that a similar story had played out on my father's side as well!
