Message: Dear Julie, I have been stuck with furthering my maternal family for some time now.My great great grandfather George Henry Clare was born in Colchester around 1840 and he married an Emily whose birth place is given as Bignor West Sussex born around 1842. I haven't been able to get any further than this because I haven't got a surname for Emily. I know it is a long shot, but just wondered if you had any knowledge of any Emilys born 1842 Bignor W.Sussex ? Regards Velma

Message: Hi Julie, Love your site, well researched and nicely put together. I note that you have Elizabeth Budd, wife of George Luck as being the daughter of Henry Budd and Emily Parker. Do you have any evidence for this. It seems to me that she may be the illegitimate daughter of Ann Budd and Henry Relf even though her marriage certificate say's her father was Henry Budd. Please get in touch. Regards Jim

Name: Pam Cartwright,  Country/City: England Posted: 23/04/2006 09:53:07

Message: Dear Julie, I have got Harry Clifford, son of Caroline Mason in my tree. Harry's father was called Frederick Clifford and I have lots I can tell you about him and his family tree. The main thing to know is that Frederick became assistant Editor of The Times and that he knew Charles Dickens and Edward Bulwer (Lord Lytton) through his association with the Guild of Literature and Art. The other important thing you need to know is that Frederick Clifford's birth name was Catt and that he changed it to Clifford in 1853. Can let you have more details in due course if you would like it. Harry is my 3rd cousin 3 times removed. Does that make us related? My tree is on genes reunited if you would like a closer look sooner! Kind regards, Pam
